Three categories. One integrated practice.
Partners, personal, and commercial — built through the Insurance Coverage Architecture framework and coordinated across your full advisory team.
Built for Financial Planners, Family Offices & Wealth Managers.
Atlantis was purpose-built to serve as the insurance arm inside a team-based wealth model. We work through and alongside advisors, attorneys, and family offices — bringing carrier access and underwriting depth most planners can't staff internally, without ever competing for the primary client relationship. If the risk isn't covered correctly and a catastrophic claim occurs, personal assets pay the claim instead of insurance — and the money manager is left with nothing to manage.
We embed as the insurance layer inside the family's existing governance — coordinating with C-level officers, relationship managers, attorneys, and trustees so coverage moves with the strategy, not against it.
Protect AUM by closing the coverage gaps that derail plans. We work behind your brand, protect the client relationship, and never compete for the seat at the table.
A referable specialist for the conversations outside your scope — property, liability, complex business coverage, and the edge cases standard agents won't touch.
Complex Portfolio & Wealth Management Risks
Clients with meaningful assets carry complex investment portfolios, trusts, and wealth-transfer strategies. The right coverage protects those structures from the claims most likely to unwind them — and often the same clients own the businesses driving their wealth, which means we can manage both the personal and commercial exposure through a single coordinated relationship.
For clients whose situation doesn't fit a standard category — we understand the exposure, we know the carriers, and we build the solution.
Private Client Risk Management
Private Client Risk Management — the proactive identification and protection of personal assets for individuals and families with significant personal holdings.
- Distinctive homes
- Boats and watercraft
- Collections and valuables
- Exotic and collector vehicles
- Personal umbrella (excess liability) up to $100M
- Life and legacy planning
Excess liability coverage with limits up to $100 million (available through Cincinnati) — sitting above your home, auto, and watercraft policies to protect the full balance sheet from a single catastrophic claim.
We provide a team-based, relationship-first approach for people whose exposure has outgrown a standard insurance conversation — coordinated with your advisor, attorney, and family office.
Industries We Serve
Comprehensive commercial coverage designed for organizations operating in specialized, high-exposure environments — where standard policies leave dangerous gaps and underwriting nuance matters more than premium.
A representative list — if your industry isn't shown, ask.
Questions we hear before the first conversation.
- Do I actually need umbrella liability coverage?
- Umbrella (excess liability) coverage sits above your home, auto, and watercraft policies and picks up where their liability limits stop. It tends to matter most when there are assets and future income worth protecting, teenage drivers, rental property, a pool, or a boat. What limit makes sense depends on the whole picture, not a rule of thumb.
- How is a collector or exotic vehicle insured differently?
- Standard auto policies settle on depreciated value and use ordinary repair networks. Collector and high-value vehicles are usually written on agreed-value terms with specialist repair and parts sourcing, and often with usage terms suited to how the car is actually driven.
- Can you cover my business and my personal insurance together?
- Yes, and that is often the point. Many of our clients own the business that produced their wealth, so we manage the commercial and personal exposures through one coordinated relationship instead of two disconnected agents.
- Will you work with my financial advisor or attorney?
- We are built for it. We work alongside advisors, attorneys, CPAs, and family offices as the insurance arm of the team, and we never compete for the primary client relationship.
- What does replacement cost mean for my home?
- It refers to what it would cost to rebuild your home today, which is a different number from market value or the price you paid. Construction costs and features drive it, and it is one of the first things we review.
- Do you only work in Charlotte?
- Charlotte is our base, and we serve clients across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia through Slemp Brant Saunders, an agency operating since 1910.
